Matthew 12:17-19

¹⁷This was to fulfill what was declared by the prophet Isaiah when he said,

¹⁸“Here is my Servant whom I have chosen,
    whom I love, and with whom I am pleased!
I will put my Spirit on him,
    and he will proclaim justice^[a] to unbelievers.^[b]
¹⁹He will not quarrel or shout,
    and no one will hear him shouting^[c] in the streets.
